M1 Canal Rehabilitation Overshot Gates

Project Overview:

The M1 Canal rehabilitation project has spanned over six years and consisted of 7 major structures and a total of 21 large overshot gates and hoists. Each of these gates is 10.5 wide designed for 6.5 water depth, each driven by a fully automated flow-controlled cable hoist system. Instream WCP was named as the sole gate supplier through all phases of this project and worked with several great general contractors during each phase of this project.
